About G20
G20 is a post-World War II initiative committed to collective responsibility for global financial stability. The state and economic leaders of 19 member countries and the EU cooperate to coordinate the global economy.
G20 includes organizations like the Bretton Woods twins, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the World Trade Organization.
The G20 countries are the wealthiest and most progressive ones. They occupy 60% of the world population, 80% Global Economy, and 75% of global exports. The G20 main working event is the annual summit, held since 2010, with the member countries' governor bodies' participation.
The representatives from each of 19 countries and the EU include the country leaders, finance ministers, and central bank governors. The latter two officials participate in ministerial-level meetings.
G20 does not have a permanent staff or a secretariat. Every year, a leader country is selected from the predefined regional grouping of countries and is responsible for its term's temporary secretariat. The leader country also coordinates the whole group's work and meeting organizations.
